Frost Projects is a solar energy company driven by innovation, precision, and purpose. We design and deliver technically robust solar systems across Africa with a team of engineers, developers, and problem-solvers who are as sharp as they are committed.
What began as a lean, fast-moving solar EPC has grown into a multidisciplinary energy partner, working on projects from commercial installations to large-scale infrastructure developments. We bring together real technical depth and entrepreneurial energy, combining engineering excellence with a hands-on, follow-through mindset that clients trust.
Whether we’re modelling megawatt-scale systems or managing installations in remote locations, we’re known for systems that perform, relationships that last, and a team that’s never afraid to roll up its sleeves.
Peter brings over five years of hands-on experience in the renewable energy sector, starting as a manual installer and growing into roles as a project developer, design engineer, and technical lead. He now oversees all technical operations at Frost Projects, guiding systems from feasibility through to execution with precision and creativity.
With a BSc in Electro-Mechanical Engineering from UCT, Peter has developed over 10MW of solar across South Africa, with a focus on commercial and industrial solar and battery systems. He’s passionate about pushing the boundaries of what solar technology can do, and about bringing sustainable, reliable energy to the more remote parts of Africa.
Areas of Focus:
- PV system simulation & optimisation,
- Detailed design and project execution
- System commissioning and performance tuning
David brings over seven years of experience advising global clients in the Energy & Resources sector, with a special focus on the commercialisation of clean energy technologies, from solar PV and battery storage to wind and green hydrogen. A former Strategy & Transactions Manager at Deloitte, he combines deep financial modelling expertise with strategic insight to help developers realise complex, high-impact energy projects.
David has led valuations and feasibility studies for utility-scale projects across the Middle East, Europe, and Africa. He is passionate about designing commercially viable systems for 24/7 clean power in rural and hard-to-scale environments, and also teaches solar PV financial modelling through the Energy & Finance Institute.
Areas of Focus:
- Financial modelling & business case optimisation
- Commercial (PPA) structuring & advisory
- PV + BESS co-location strategies
- Project finance & funding models
We don’t just build to spec, we build for the long run. Every system we design is engineered for maximum yield, safety, and compliance with the latest NRS-097 and SANS 10142 standards.
From containerised systems to complex grid-tied designs, our focus is long-term reliability: from the choice of inverter, battery chemistry, and enclosure design, right down to the nuts and bolts that face the elements.
Good workmanship matters to us. We take pride in clean, serviceable installations that are not only technically sound but built with care, clarity and attention to detail.
We partner with brands we trust technically, financially, and in the field. Every component we specify reflects years of experience and proven performance under African conditions.
Our partner network is built on synergy, not just supply allowing us to offer scalable, cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality or future readiness. We think long-term, and we only work with those who do too.
